Who we are

The School Gate is published by AutoLegend. We sell practice-operations software to allied-health practices. If you want to reach us about anything on this page, use the contact address in the footer.

The short version

We collect what you type into the form on the contact page, plus some anonymous information about which pages get read. We do not record your screen, we do not capture what you type into fields unless you submit the form, we do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell anything to anybody.

What we collect when you use the form

If you complete the form on the contact page we receive: your name and email address; your phone number and practice name if you choose to give them; and your answers to five multiple-choice questions about your practice — how many people work in it, how long it has been operating, whether you have a website, the problem that brought you here, and where your clinical notes live.

We also receive some technical information alongside it: which page you were on, your time zone, and any campaign tags in the link you followed. The form carries two anti-spam fields — a hidden field that humans never see and a timestamp of when the page loaded.

We do not ask for and do not want information about a student, a family, a school or a clinical matter. Please do not put any into the form.

Why we collect it

To send you the one-pager you asked for, and to work out whether the software we build is relevant to your practice. If it is, we may contact you about it. If you would rather we did not, say so in reply to any message and we will stop.

What we do with it

Your submission goes to our customer-relationship system, where our team can see it. We do not sell it, rent it, or trade it. We share it only with the service providers that operate our email and CRM systems on our behalf, and only so they can provide those services to us.

Analytics

Counsel note — conditional. Delete this whole section if the property ships without a PostHog project key.

We use PostHog to understand which pages are read and where people give up. It records page views and a small set of events — the magnet band coming into view, a call-to-action being clicked, the form being started, and whether a submission succeeded or failed. Your five multiple-choice answers are attached to that event data.

We have deliberately turned off two things PostHog can do: session recording (no video of your screen, ever, and never on a page with a form) and input autocapture (we do not collect what you type into a field unless you submit the form).

Fonts

Counsel note — conditional. Delete if the fonts are self-hosted instead.

The typefaces on this site are served by Google Fonts. That means your IP address and browser details reach Google when a page loads. We do not send Google anything else about you, and Google's use of that information is governed by its own privacy policy.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which keeps standard web-server request logs.

Cookies and local storage

If analytics is active, PostHog sets an identifier in your browser so repeat visits are not counted as new people. There are no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking.

How long we keep it

Form submissions are kept in our CRM for as long as we might reasonably be in touch about practice software, and then deleted. Analytics data is kept in aggregate.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, and ask us to delete it. Email us and we will do it. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

Children

This site is written for practice owners. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change this page we will change the date at the top.
